Many Uses of Ivory

I never knew how many uses of Ivory soap there was until I received a bar in my Mom Vox Box from Influenster. They asked us to post what uses we found or used with our Ivory bar. I used mine as a gentle leather cleaner. I have a leather jacket that is 20 years old and showing its age. I also used Ivory as I showered. I usually do not like bar soaps because they leave your skin feeling dry and tight. Ivory did not do this to my skin it left it feeling smooth with a nice clean scent. Now they have Ivory Body wash. I am using this now as my new body wash. It does the same as the original bar soap. Works much better then any body wash I have ever tried!

Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies

As soon as I opened my Mom Vox Box I had to try it. It tasted delicious.Most cookies of this type are dry and make you think you are eating paper but not with Quaker they are soft and moist! I went out to the store and bought 2 boxes of them the next day. A quick breakfast when you are on the go so much healthier then stopping by the local fast food joint.

Great taste and healthy what more could you ask for.

Wreath Cake

I made a chocolate cake in a Bundt pan cooked for time stated on the cake box. I let it cool then took white icing and dyed it green. First I did a crumb coating (Icing the cake not worrying about crumbs in the icing) then put it in the fridge to harden. Then I added another layer of icing to make it smooth. Then placed it back in the fridge to harden. 

I took a can of cupcake icing (much easier then piping) with a star tip to make the top of the cake. I left sides smooth. The night before making the cake I made the bow of fondant. I rolled up wax paper to stick in the bow so it would harden over night. I used red m&ms for "berries" and jingle crunch for the bells.

Bunny Cake

I made 4 cakes in round cake pans for this Homemade Bunny Cake Idea. Cut all 4 in half, used 3 halves to make the body. They were all standing on the cut side with icing between to hold them together. I took another half, cut it again, used the 2 pieces and shaped it down to make the head. 

I did the same for the "legs". I used a small piece from the halves to make the ears. Covered in white frosting and used jelly beans for eyes and nose. I used the cupcake frosting from a can for the tail and grass. 

Jack O' Lantern Cake!

I used Betty Crocker bake n fill cake pans that come in a rounded shape. I used three cakes stacked together then using 2 tubs of frosting I mixed with food dye to make the orange color.
I put one layer of frosting on then placed in the fridge overnight for the crumb coating then the next day I added another layer of icing. 

When I iced the cake the second time I iced from top to bottom to give it the lines and smoother sides. Then I rolled out red white and yellow gumdrops together with sugar in wax paper to make eyes nose & mouth. I used black food color to make the lines on them. I took sour apple straws, washed off the white sour sugar then rolled 6 straws together. I rolled the straws in wax paper to remove stickiness for the stem. I also used a few straws cut in half to make vines. 

At the bottom I used ghostly dots for the ghosts and Chiclets for headstones. The cupcake frosting in a can for the grass. 

It can also be used for a basketball cake or any round shapes!
