I received a mission from smiley360 to check out Sears Christmas shop. They also sent me a $15.00 gift card to use in their store. First thing I did after getting the mission was to check out their websites Sears Online Christmas Shop & Sears Cheer Headquarters. I was so excited so many wonderful things like Ty Pennington's Collection . After seeing the website I was so excited to go check out the Christmas shop. Sadly I got to the Sears at Dover Mall,our only Sears in the area next closest is an hour drive, and it was a huge let down. Only 3 small aisles and I mean small no one could walk past you if you were standing there. Shoved in a corner of the tool section. These are the times I wish I had a camera on my phone. Then there is Christmas stuff scattered everywhere else in the store. Instead of hunting everything down it should be in one nice area. Sears is really nice but they really need to up their Christmas Style again. I remember being little in the 70s and going to our local Sears, seeing the huge amounts of Christmas ornaments.Remember the Wish books? I think remembering that played a part in my let down.
So after looking around and not really seeing anything I wanted to get. I drove a block down to their sister store Kmart. Since you can use Sears gift cards at Kmart I went there to see their selection A lot more items to see there. So I bought these three ornaments for my tree. I am running late on putting up my tree so no tree picture yet.I am saving the left over money on the gift card to see if maybe more comes out.
So my final thought on the Sears Christmas shop is that they have a small amount of high quality, high priced items shoved in the tool section. Does that really say Christmas? Come on Sears lets kick it up a bit next year!
